Scoopy Demento ~ loves the snow And he's off ... The I'm-gonna-get-it (pine cone) challenge Mike captured the action pretty well ~ I get dizzy while the crazy dog runs in circles at about 90 m.p.h. Leash runs out to 25 feet ~ he does get a good workout. I have never seen another dog enjoy itself so thoroughly, Goofus doesn't even need anything to chase. At least one rabbit is around, all it takes is picking up that scent and poof ~ dog turns into rocket. If we could just bottle that energy! Rest break ~ savoring sniffilicious gusty wind Still need to get "plowing" pics, buries his nose ~ comes up a few yards later fully-flaked, eyebrows to beard. A few days later snow got an ice glazing. Thought that might impede the speed demon ~ it did not. Did send pinecones skittering all over for an even better game. After I mentioned hairy feet must be good for traction ... from Auntie Sue, who has a few of her own loose screws (~.*) Ode to Scoopy's Hairy Feet Upon the frozen ground I walkAll slippery from sleet But I don't fear or dread or balk For I have hairy feet! My toes are hairy on the top With eagerness and glee I run and play and dash and jump While Mommy watches me. I wish that Mom could be more fun And then ... got another inch of snow. Nitwit pounced on first pinecone toss hard enough to bury ~ absolutely priceless where-did-it-go? look on his face, digging like mad. I really should rent him out to those in need of laugh therapy.
