"The night this picture was taken I had been decorating my 7 1/2 ft. Christmas tree and every time I would climb the ladder to get to the top Angel would want to go with me. I finally took her up and let her see what was there.
"Everything I do, she has to be in the big middle of. I sat down to play the piano and here she comes. Jumped right up beside me and started banging on the keys. Since I couldn't play, I got up and she moved to the middle of the piano and was pressing her paws on the keys. It was such a cute picture of her with red sweater and my decorations on the piano so I grabbed the camera and said, 'Angel.' She turned around and I snapped. I could never duplicate that picture. She's a camera hound anyway. I don't have to tell her to sit still ... she just knows.
"She has been my companion for nearly six years and is the light of my life. She's a Bichon Frise and if you saw the Westminster Kennel Dog Show this year and the Bichon who won, then you can picture how Angel greets me every time I get home. She's up on her hind legs dancing with her front paws waving in the air. It's the most beautiful sight and the greatest greeting in the world.
"She was born in Sequim, WA, the
only puppy her mother had. My girlfriend called and said she wanted me to have her if I'd
drive from California and get her. Long story short, I fell in love with this little
8-week-old darling from the moment I laid eyes on her. She was 9 weeks old by the time I
came home and was such a little trooper riding in the car for all those miles. To this day
she loves to go riding. I decided to name her Angelique, with Angel for short, as that's
what she is. A little angel. She is registered as Mon Chere Angelique Dansuese. Very
feisty, energetic, hard-headed, etc., etc., etc. ... LOL
"Angel was 6 in November. One other thing about her ... she loves
men. We don't have one around here and any time she meets one she falls in love. LOL ...
hurts my feelings but Oh well!!"
