OOAK (one of a kind) Troll Designs
Lace has gold highlights (hard to tell), and note little gold roses on
socks. Yes, those are gold shoes. Goldie Girl is a '77 Thomas Dam, 6 inches
tall, hair is another 3. Her little tushy is nekkid ~ just the way the lace
wrap worked out. Meant to be displayed face front only.
Goldie Girl was my first creation, as an adult. Loved to make doll clothes for as long as I remember. Trolls were easy, cut arm holes out of a strip of fabric, tie on a ribbon or some such belt ~ done deal. About 15 years ago while living in Arizona, decided my original clan needed the Southwestern look for the holidays.
They stayed that way until I was inspired by the below. This pic does not show the fine crochet details. The hat and skirt are ruffled, teeny panties included and I requested the matching purse. See more precious outfits at Mother's Nursery: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZmothersQ5fnurseryQQssPageNameZSTRKQ3aMEFSQ3aMESOI Wrapped up in feathery yarn, and tied in several bows on top. This little girl has a chip in one eye, hence the shades. Looks like a rock star doesn't she? Never got around to redressing Mom, Dad and Grandma ~ technically they were already dressed up for the season. Little chilly for Missouri, but they're patient and understand my creative mood swings. We've been together for almost 45 years. OMG! We be vintage. ~~~ On to new additions to the family ... 12 1/2-inch Great Grandma, in velvet befitting a Grand Dame. Simple gathering at neck, shawl is a people-size collar with a tuck in back. Hair foo-foo is gathered lace on blue cording, tied in a bow. Great Gramps' parka belonged to Buster, my Boston terrier. ~~~ Playsuit is actually a baby headband. Temporary hair band is a milk bottle ring, to be wrapped in ribbon. Play baby is a 4 1/2 inch, '86 Dam. Below, 5" Wishnik is a "before" ... first, her new wig. Look at me now! Note earrings, actually drop clip-ons. Trolls wear theirs a little high (where they fit). Dress is a Barbie and belt is a bracelet, with small "diamond" centers. Halter straps didn't quite reach and belt wanted to droop so they're all secured with thread in back. Almost 9-inch, '77 Dam girl is ready to par-tee! So excited she already twisted her outfit ~ used to be a scarf made with rows of velvet ribbon, chenille and eyelash yarn. In order to show dress* details, light washes out this glamour girl's tiara and fabulous head of hair. Purse is a Barbie or Bratz (I lose track). Now what was that * about? Dress is a glove, no kidding. Note hip-high knotted bow. That's the thumb. I have the glove's mate (medium girl's size) to use for a similar size troll (6-inch '84 Dam). Now you can see the hair and even a bit of sparkle. Dress has sparkles too. Another glamour girl ... prom? She's a Dam, #604, 8 1/2 inches tall (standing on a 2-inch tall cup). Dress is a simple gathered "tube" and corsage is a hair fancy on a barrette attached with rubber band. The babies are Dams, about 3 inches tall. Buggy warmie was a hat. Barbie "mink" vest with gold braid trim. You should have seen the girls fighting over that, and the tiara of course. Dam bank, 6 1/2 inches tall, outfit is wrapped fringe. Bow is attached to a bun holder, necessary due to permanent bad hair days. Toga Girl is a Dam #604, 8 1/2 inches tall. Toga was a place mat. ~~~ Onward to page 2: http://www.therealmartha.com/Trolls2/index.htm Featuring Nancy's Fancy's, handcrafted adornments and accessories (tiaras/crowns, scepters/wands, necklaces and more), must see Halloween scene, also troll history and ID info. ~~~ Some of the above are for sale, most are not. I get attached very easily. However, I'm usually open to above average offers. Depends when you catch me. Several more dressy characters are listed on eBay as well as others in costume. I can sell directly and save us both money. Shipping example costs are listed on eBay and I'm always happy to combine. http://stores.ebay.com/OOAK-Trolls-Dog-Chew-Toys-Lots-More_W0QQfrsrcZ1QQfsubZ17518311QQtZkm More, some nekkid, some in their original costumes: http://stores.ebay.com/OOAK-Trolls-Dog-Chew-Toys-Lots-More_More-Trolls_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ17839565QQftidZ2QQtZkm ~ lots of a wide range of items are also listed by category. ~~~ Questions/comments: MarthaJones1@aol.com ~ subject line must be Trolls, too risky opening unknowns. My original oldies are definitely not for sale. I invite all to send pics of your creations. The purpose here is showing off and sharing ideas. |
