Howlin' Cute Critters BOOF!

This one cracks me up
every time. I'd like to credit properly, as well as other pics that showed up without
info.

Charlie Chaplin and friend

Big Mac,
possibly a.k.a. Mad Boston (at dis-ease, doesn't look too happy does he?)
Note all detail - horns, hooves, bell, tail, udder - OK, that one's hard to miss.

Would be pretty dang
spooky waking up on an operating table to those eyes. Although, the costume's not actually
all that far-fetched. Sasha regularly acts as nursemaid, assisting Helen with all kinds of
wild baby rescues.

Wide variety of costumes and accessories, lots for people too
Truly amazing what animals
will put up with to humor us.

Superman, a.k.a. Phoenix,

Tootsie as Snoop Doggie
Dog,

small and large ballerinas
...

All were contestants
during a party hosted by Hawk Ridge Feed & Pet Supply, Lake St. Louis.

Note hock laces, and you
can almost see ribbon braided in tail. Mane was also festooned.

Pigtail Macaque Adam, 2.5
months old
Adam is the little man who takes up most all my time. We enjoy each
other's company very much. He loves giving kisses, and makes many brilliant sounds which I
am quickly learning what each in-his-terms means. Adam's favorite activities include
cuddling, playing in the bathtub, and his personal playtime before bed in which he enjoys
the whole family sitting on the floor among his profuse toy collection. Most of all, he
keeps us entertained! ~ Amy Herbert, Banner Elk, NC

Little Miss Dassie is a special guest
here. She's a puppy mill rescue and was in pretty bad shape. Her new young man Brent kept
telling her, "We will make you feel better." Certainly looks like he kept that
promise.

Grandmother Bonnie took this
first-day-home pic. Brent is 11 years old and already has written letters to his congress
representatives about puppy mills and abuse laws. Keep up the great work Brent!

This handsome fellow lives with
Anthony Buccino, author of many delightful dog tales. Find links and a very silly Easter
bunny ears pic here: http://www.ramblinground.com/zamboni.html
One of Zamboni's predecessors, Libby,
is featured on the Lotsa Libbys page: http://members.aol.com/Libbyk9/lotsalibbyslibbyslib.index.htm - includes links to more Buccino essays.

Hobo Bobo

Scoopy
as the werewolf

Caught him
mid-shake - one ear straight out, the other vertical

Count Pigula

From: http://vetmedicine.about.com/library/weekly/aa100600a.htm
He looks so cute in his little red suit ...
- While viewed as fun and adorable for some pet owners,
caution is advised when putting a costume on a pet. A pet in costume should NEVER be left
unsupervised.
- Tight elastics on the costumes can get lost in the
pet's hair, potentially causing owners to overlook them, leading to swelling and pain in
the area of the elastic.
- Some pets, if left alone in costume, may chew it up
and ingest it. This could cause intestinal obstruction if more than small shreds of
material are consumed.
- If the costumed pet escapes or is frightened away, the
costume could entangle the pet on trees, fences, etc.

New danger
alert
From a list post: Cat hospitalized after
eating fake spider web. Note mentioned a keep away from
small children warning on the package. Take that as a caution for any
decoration or toy.
Keep in mind ...
Two-legged
critters operating in sugar rush mode on top of all the other excitement are trouble just
waiting to happen. Even kids who know better might forget sharing goodies with furry pals
is a huge no-no.
